For what it’s worth, I believe in a borderless and liberated world for all beings that is rooted in anarcho-socialism, radical democracy, ecological sustainability and feminism.
I want a world in which community life is central and decisions about our lives are made in community spaces by members of our communities together. I want global norms that protect our environment and ensure that oppressive systems cannot stand. I want our systems to be built on economic and social justice, which ensures that everyone has a home, food and water, and enough resources to live a good, comfortable and meaningful life. I love the variety of human cultures we have and I want a world that values and protects our differences, encourages learning from one another, and doesn’t freak out when those cultures inevitably change. I believe that all peoples have the right to collective self-determination and freedom and that all individuals have those same rights. I believe that the Palestinian people and all Palestinians deserve freedom and self-determination as do the Jewish people, and all peoples. I think that there should be no borders in Israel/Palestine/between the River and the Sea, and that people should be able to live, work, pray, eat, etc. anywhere they want. Palestinians should have the right of return. Palestinians and Jews should have collective and individual rights protected in whatever overarching system exists for everyone who shares this land. All of this requires dismantling the systems of domination that Israel maintains over Palestinians, which means that ‘the state'' cannot exist as it does in the near term, nor should any state exist in the long term. This also means fighting against all the racist, capitalist, colonialist, sexist, homophobic, and anti-trans systems that impact everyone here. I think that, in my lifetime, we can at least have some level of global social-democracy that ensures access to resources and a basic level of comfort for all, if we fight for it. I believe that we can end the occupation immediately and end apartheid, ensuring equal rights for everyone between the River and the Sea today. I think that the impacts of colonialism, racism, fear and hate will take longer to dismantle, but those systems and beliefs, too, can be broken. I think bringing people, Jews and others, from around the world to take part in Palestinian-led movement work in Israel/Palestine is an important part of winning. I think encouraging people everywhere to learn about and take part in BDS is an important part of winning. I think educating our communities everywhere and organizing around the world to build a strong movement for justice and equality is an important part of winning. These are some of the things that I believe, that I work for, and that motivate me as an activist, organizer, community member, Jew, and human being today. I am sure these things will grow and change as I learn and experience more.
